Open Door Policy Political Cartoon Analysis

This cartoon is on the issue of the Open Door Policy. This cartoonist has an anti imperialism opinion in this illustration. Other people may think that America was not manipulating trade with China. To make this cartoon persuasive, this cartoonist uses Uncle Sam blocking the "door to China" with US in army and navy presence. It also has Uncle Sam looking devious and evil. The cartoon supports my opinion because I do believe in anti-imperialism. I believe that this cartoon shows the badness of imperialism. Although it makes America look better it also hurts other countries and their economies. The cartoon also supports my opinion by how the doors blocking all the other countries trade with China. It also is locking the Chinese in their own country.
